A warm welcome awaits

The Cricketers is one of Cardiff’s most welcoming pubs, set in a classic Victorian townhouse and within a well hit ‘six’ of Sophia Gardens. Opened in 2010, The Cricketers has become a firm favourite in the city, offering a great range of quality Welsh real ales, chilled continental lagers and a fine selection of wines. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a hearty meal within the sunniest beer garden in Cardiff, or simply relax with one of our seasonal ales next to an open fire during the winter, The Cricketers offers many a great reason to visit.

Lovely pub with nice beer garden We enjoyed a few pints here on our way into the city as it was close to our hotel. Staff were very accommodating & the prices were reasonable too.

Gem of a pub, really welcoming staff and great range of beers Reluctant to speak too highly of this pub in case it becomes too popular and we cannot get in - really great staff who were great in welcoming my young children. Does great food and has a realy good range of beers to choose from.

Our new go to in Cardiff Stopped off here for an impromptu Sunday roast after a long drive from North Wales. Despite being busy and fully booked, the staff went out of their way to get us a table. The service was efficient and friendly and they were able to help me with my dietary requirements at short notice. The food itself was really tasty, a roast with all the trimmings, and our waitress was a star allowing us to add a yorkshire pud to meals that didn’t come with one. We will definitely be back!

Sunday Dinner Best Sunday dinner for a long time! It was very busy when we arrived but the staff found us a table in short notice. There was a little wait on food but with how busy it was and quick bar service we hardly noticed. Once we ordered the food came quickly and was perfect! Honestly could not fault it. The chicken starter was incredible, followed by several brilliant roasts. We were completely stuffed for dessert but other orders around us looked gorgeous. Will definitely be back again!
